Antonino Sciortino
Antonino Sciortino is an Italian designer born in Bagheria. At the age of eight he began learning the blacksmith's trade in his brother's workshop, before enrolling in a dance school in Palermo. In 2003, after a brilliant career as a dancer and choreographer, he decided to combine these two aspects of his life, iron working and dance. His works are characterized by the unusual use of "filo cotto", a very malleable iron that allows for the creation of soft and "dancing" lines.
