Guido Drocco and Franco Mello, also known together as the Gugliermetto brothers, are a duo of Italian designers adhering to the radical movement who have been dealing with chairs and seating since 1952. Drocco was born in San Benedetto Belbo, in the province of Cuneo, in 1942. He graduated from the Polytechnic University of Milan and since 1996 he has been professor of Architecture and Industrial Design in Turin. Mello is a Genoese designer born in 1945 who lives and works in Turin and Spineto Scrivia. The furniture and design objects designed by the duo still represent timeless icons today: the Gufram company has recently re-proposed the Cactus they designed in the 70s.
