Jason Miller is a Brooklyn-based designer and founder of Roll & Hill, a company that has been producing designer lighting fixtures since 2010. Born in 1971 and raised in Darien, Connecticut, Jason was certainly influenced by the suburban context, creating his early conceptual pieces such as chairs covered in duct tape or cracked pots and ceramics. He graduated from Indiana University in 1993 and went on to earn a master's degree at the New York Academy of Art before beginning in 2001 to create contemporary objects using different materials and techniques, ranging from wood, glass and metals to ceramics. The artist creates and designs sculptural collections that showcase his approach to a minimalist style that encompasses both art and design. Today Jason runs both Jason Miller Studio and Roll & Hill from his headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.
