Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic is a designer known for his essential, simple and minimalist style. Born in 1965, he studied Design at the Royal College of Art in London, but first trained as a cabinetmaker at the John Makepeace School in England. In 1991 he founded his studio Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design (KGID) in Munich, where he developed furniture, products, and lighting for some of the leading design companies. Many of his works are part of the permanent collections of the world`s leading design museums (including MoMA / New York, Centre Georges Pompidou / Paris) and have received international design awards such as the prestigious Compasso d`Oro for his MAYDAY lamp (Flos) and MYTO chair (Plank ).
