Luca Nichetto
Luca Nichetto was born in Venice in 1976, where he studied at the State Institute of Art before graduating in 1998 with a degree in industrial design from Iuav University. In 1999 Nichetto began his professional career with Murano glassmaker Salviati, later becoming a product designer and consultant for Foscarini, a lighting company. In 2006 he founded his eponymous studio in Venice and a few years later moved to Stockholm, Sweden, where he opened a second studio. Throughout his career he has been an art director for several brands, deepening his knowledge in the design industry. In addition, he has received notable international recognition for his innovative and sophisticated designs, such as the Grand Design Award in 2008, the Good Design Award from the Chicago Atheneum Museum of Architecture 2008, and the Elle Decoration International Design Awards 2009 (EDIDA) as Designer of the Year in the Young Designer Talent category. In addition to exhibitions in Europe, the United States and Japan, Luca Nichetto has been featured in major retrospectives featured in cities such as Venice, London, Paris and Stockholm. He currently collaborates with numerous companies nationally and internationally.
