Pretziada

Pretziada is a creative practice, based in Sardinia, which promotes the territory's heritage through words, photography and a collection of design objects made with local artisans. Californian-born Kyre Chenven and Milanese-born Ivano Atzori moved to southwestern Sardinia four years ago to work with artisans on the revival of local craftsmanship. Kyre has worked for years as a set designer in New York, while Ivano comes from the world of graffiti and contemporary art. Pretziada is dedicated to creating new human connections through artistic interdisciplinarity, building invisible bridges between the island and the rest of the world. Their collection consists of culturally relevant pieces that celebrate Sardinian history. Sometimes they work directly with artisans, curating specific creations, while other pieces are the result of short trips they undertake with international creatives, introducing them to the island and its culture.
