Stelton
Stelton is a Danish design company founded in 1960. Their aim is to create functional, timeless and sustainable designs. The company name comes from the merger of Stellan and Carton, two fellow soldiers who have entered into an agreement with "Danish Stainless", a small factory that produced stainless steel tableware. Stelton began by promoting a stainless steel gravy boat which became very popular. Peter Holmblad, stepson of Arne Jacobsen, became the managing director of Stelton and with his innovative vision he understood that the need was to develop new designs. Cylinda-line designed by Arne Jacobsen was the first result, immediately rewarded with several design awards.
