Stelton
Stelton is an innovative Danish design company, founded in 1960. Their aim is to create functional and timeless design, which makes everyday life more beautiful. A design that is sustainable because it stands the test of time from an aesthetic and qualitative point of view. The Stelton collections are born from the collaboration with international designers and architects, who have given life to iconic design products. The company name comes from the merger of Stellan and Carton, two fellow soldiers who have entered into an agreement with "Danish Stainless" a small factory that produced stainless steel tableware. Stelton began promoting a stainless steel gravy boat which became very popular. Subsequently Peter Holmblad, stepson of Arne Jacobsen, became the managing director of Stelton and with his innovative vision he understood that the need was to develop new designs. Cylinda-line designed by Arne Jacobsen was the first result, immediately rewarded with several design awards.
