Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi
Born in Rome, Valentina Cameranesi Sgroi studied product design at Isia and after graduation had experience both in publishing and as an illustrator in Italy and abroad. She worked at Diesel Industries in the product design departments and then had the opportunity to take on the role of art direction of product shootings and catalogs. She currently lives in Milan where she works as an art director and set designer with Enrico Pompili. He is also a freelance consultant and creative director for a wide range of brands and magazines. His personal work explores the relationship between artificial and natural, through various media, particularly photography, video and ceramics. He has designed a marble collection of vases and tray for SEM Simultanea where centripetal, centrifugal and movement forces are channeled into stone forms and a rotation on the axis becomes a vase, while an inclined cut suggests a container.
