Yiannis Ghikas

Yiannis Ghikas is a Greek designer. Born in Athens, Ghikas had a computer education and his approach to design was profoundly influenced by this: the functionality of an object becomes the aim of each of his projects, followed by the research and exploration of the possible emotional responses that it can elicit. For him, in fact, design must be able to satisfy both material and immaterial needs. Winner of the 2009 Red Dot Design Award, Ghikas collaborates with brands such as Feld, Miniforms, Objekten and Covesso.
