Description-

Designed by Joe Colombo and produced by GUBI, this chair seems to deviate greatly from the designer's futuristic style. But if you look more carefully, you can see the classic elements of a piece of furniture designed by Colombo: organic lines, modern aesthetics and an innovative approach to the materials used. Available in different finishes. Right of withdrawal not applicable.

Brand

GUBI

GUBI since its founding in 1967 has been involved in the design and development of iconic and timelessly designed products often reissuing past masterpieces that are often forgotten. Over the years the two founders, architects Gubi and Lisbeth Olsen, have created an extensive collection of furniture putting into production pieces of design history from the 1930s to the present. The intent is to produce and carry forward timeless design through guidelines such as innovation, functionality and quality.

Designer

Joe Colombo

Joe Colombo, pseudonym of Cesare Colombo, was an Italian designer and architect. Born in Milan in 1930, he founded the Nuclear Movement together with Enrico Baj and Sergio Dangelo, and later joined the International Movement for an Imaginist Bauhaus and the Concrete Art Movement. When his father died in 1959, Colombo opened an architectural studio with his brother Gianni, with whom he designed the Acrilica lamp (1962), which won an award at the 1964 Triennale. He died prematurely at the age of 41, and to this day his studio, carried on by his historical collaborator Ignazia Favata, houses the designer's archive.
