The Eva armchair, designed by Giovanni Travasa in 1965 for Bonacina 1889, is an elegant seat characterized by a structure in Manao/Manila rush, curved by hand using fire. Its design creates a flexible ribbon designed to accommodate the human anatomy, offering comfort and visual lightness. The seat is completed by a comfortable cushion, available with fabric or leather upholstery.
Bonacina
Bonacina 1889 was born in 2015 from the merger of the two companies Vittorio Bonacina and Pierantonio Bonacina. In 1889, in Lurago d'Erba, Giovanni and Pietro Bonacina founded the company Fratelli Bonacina, drawing inspiration from the local tradition of basket making and applying the technique of weaving rush and wicker to the world of furniture. Over the years, the two brothers took different paths and created the two companies, reunited today after years of separation.
Giovanni Travasa
Giovanni Travasa, born in 1927 in Parabiago, in the province of Milan, was an Italian architect and designer. After studying at the Brera Academy, he collaborated for a long time with Vittorio Bonacina, designing for him products that immediately became icons of design and the company, including the Eva and Egg armchairs.
