The Karuselli Lounge Chair, designed by Yrjö Kukkapuro in 1964, is an icon of Finnish design that combines function, ergonomics and organic form. To achieve the optimal dimensions, Kukkapuro spent several years sculpting the chair, wrapping himself in wire mesh and creating a plaster cast of his own body in a relaxed position. The frame is made of white fibreglass with chrome-plated steel details, while the seat is upholstered in black or white leather, offering exceptional comfort. Equipped with a swivel mechanism, the Karuselli is recognised for its distinctive design and unrivalled comfort.
Artek
Founded in Helsinki in 1935 by four young idealists: Alvar and Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen and Nils-Gustav Hahl, Artek was born with the aim of selling furniture and promoting a modern culture of living through exhibitions and other educational means. The company's name is a combination of the words "art" and "technology", fundamental concepts for the modernist movement of the 1920s that saw the connection between these two spheres as the innovation of modern design. Artek's collection consists of furniture, lighting and accessories designed by Finnish and international masters.

His most famous work, the Karuselli Chair, was defined as the most comfortable chair in the world by the New York Times in 1974. His creations are part of the permanent collections of museums such as the MoMA in New York, the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the National Museum of Art in Stockholm, and have been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions.
