The design of this chair is based on strong signs and primitive volumes. The solid wood is shaped and then patiently brushed so that the grain can be felt. The legs are elegantly placed on the ground and the seat, a circle worked with the straw technique, is designed with a simple and dense texture, composed of bands of rope that overlap horizontally to the main vertical order. Also available in natural ash, walnut stained and with a natural rope weave.

This is the soul of SEM, a private label born in 2018 to realize thirty years of experience in retail and interior design. SEM translates its philosophy of living into a refined and multifaceted line of furniture, where elegance is also a symptom of the intelligence of the construction solutions. A proposal rich in sartorial details, with a constant attention to the functionality and contemporaneity of industrial design.
Motta Architecture
Motta Architecture is an architecture and interior design studio based in Milan, led by architect Giuseppina Motta. It combines technical expertise and stylistic elegance, creating cosy and refined environments. It collaborated with SEM (Spotti Edizioni Milano) for the Néolithique collection, characterised by the use of solid wood and harmonious shapes between curves and rigorous lines. The studio's philosophy emphasises the balance between technology and style, with customised projects that respect the architectural and cultural context.
