Fernando & Humberto Campana

Ironic, inventive and innovative, Fernando and Humberto were able to draw inspiration from the incredible creativity of Brazilian popular culture. A distinctive trait that has expanded their fame throughout the world. Since 1983 the two brothers have worked together in São Paulo. Fernando has a degree in architecture, while Humberto, a law graduate, participates in this partnership as a self-taught artist. In 1989 they created their first collection: the “Desconfortveis”, later collaborating with Edra for the creation of the “Vermehla Chair” exhibited at the MoMA in New York combined with Ingo Maurer. In 2008 they received the “Designers of the Year” award from Design Miami and then presented a major retrospective at the Vitra Design Museum – The Antibodies 2009.
