Le Corbusier

Le Corbusier, pseudonym of Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Grisnato, was a French neutralized Swiss architect, urban planner, painter and designer. Considered one of the most innovative and incisive personalities in the history of contemporary architecture and master of the Modern Movement, he was a pioneer in the use of reinforced concrete for architecture. He invented modern housing solutions such as the Unitées d'Habitation, he planned cities inspired by utopian visions such as Chandigarh and he designed furniture that has now become part of Western popular culture.
