Lella & Massimo Vignelli

Lella (1934-2016) and Massimo Vignelli (1931-2014) were a pair of internationally renowned Italian designers, known for their modernist and minimalist approach. In 1960, they founded the studio "Lella and Massimo Vignelli Office of Design and Architecture" in Milan, specializing in product, interior and graphic design. Having moved to the United States, they established "Vignelli Associates" in New York in 1971, contributing to iconic projects such as the visual identity of American Airlines and the New York subway signage. Their work is exhibited in prestigious museums, including MoMA in New York, and they have received numerous awards, including the AIGA Gold Medal.
