Monica Forster

Monica Förster is the creator of some of the most internationally renowned objects in contemporary Swedish design. Her work is characterised by a strong sensibility for pure form, combined with an endless curiosity for new materials and technologies. Always searching for interdisciplinary solutions, she invents and renews typologies in industrial, furniture and object design. Monica Förster, one of the leading figures in Swedish design, has created some of the future design classics. Based in Stockholm, Monica Förster Design Studio works globally with companies such as Volvo, Tecno, Alessi, Cappellini, Poltrona Frau, De Padova, Bernhardt, Whirlpool, Georg Jensen, Eric Joergensen, Offecct, Swedese and Rörstrand. She has received numerous Swedish and international awards, including several Designer of the Year in Sweden, and has been exhibited worldwide in museums and institutions such as MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Monica Förster has also been represented in the International Design Yearbook.
