Piet Hein

Piet Hein (1905–1996) was a Danish mathematician, inventor, designer and poet. Famous for his "gruk", short philosophical poems, he introduced the superellipse, a geometric shape applied in design and architecture, inspiring the famous Superellipse table with Bruno Mathsson. He also invented the Soma cube and the Hex game, demonstrating his ability to combine science, art and creativity in a unique and innovative way.
