Designed in 1926 by the visionary Richard Herre, the Stuttgart chair embodies the rigor of German rationalism, with pure forms and proportions studied to the millimeter. Solid wood, masterfully modeled, meets a refined seat in a perfect balance between structure and lightness.
E15
On the market since 1995, e15 takes its name from the postcode of its first production workshop in London. Renowned for its simple design and the use of top-quality materials, the company combines cutting-edge production techniques with the most traditional craftsmanship. With the launch of its first collections on the market, e15 emerges as one of the companies that has made solid wood processing one of its strong points since the beginning.
Richard Herre was a German architect, designer, artist, author and translator. He has recently been rediscovered as a very important representative of Stuttgart Modernism of the 1920s. As a graphic designer, Herre created the famous “Die Form” motif from the Werkbund exhibition, while for the interiors he created both furniture, lighting and fabrics. His Stuttgart chair was recently reissued by the e15 brand.
