The Hunting Chair, created by Børge Mogensen in 1950, is a tribute to Scandinavian design that draws on the grandeur of the past. Its solid oak frame, accompanied by fine leather and brass buckles, tells a story of craftsmanship.
Fredericia
Fredericia is a Danish company founded in 1911 as Fredericia Stolefabrik (Fredericia Chair Factory), by entrepreneur NP Ravnsø. The company is based on a simple principle: the production of quality products through careful selection of materials, functionality and attention to detail. Fredericia produces high-quality furniture, designed to last with the ambition of creating contemporary design that is always dignified, relevant and aesthetically intriguing.
Børge Mogensen, born in 1914 in Aalborg, was one of the most influential figures on the Danish design scene. He was the pioneer of the characteristic minimalist design of the Nordic country: his intention was to create a functional and easily accessible furniture line. He was put in charge of the FDB Møbler furniture design studio, for which he worked until 1959, when he opened his own studio. After the death of his teacher, Kaare Klint, he succeeded him as designer of the Danish Museum of Decorative Arts in Copenhagen.
