Il Manto by Gallotti&Radice, designed by Pietro Russo, is a perfect balance between sculpture and functionality. Its inlaid top, like a precious fabric stretched out in space, rests on a sinuous base that evokes movement and lightness. A brass detail embellishes it, like a discreet jewel that seals the harmony between matter and form.
Gallotti & Radice
Gallotti&Radice was the first company in Italy, since the early 1960s, to promote the love for the study and use of crystal in furnishings. Today, the company offers sophisticated and elegant total living solutions, where each product is designed to interpret a transversal taste that cancels times and boundaries. Gallotti&Radice creations are the expression of a growing and evolving reality, which intertwines traditional Italian know-how with details of metropolitan contemporaneity. The production combines advanced industrial techniques and artisanal processes, keeping alive the tradition of a product with an artisanal flavour, through the experience gained over the years.
Pietro Russo began his training in ceramic painting and decoration, and then approached scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where his passion for design was born. From 1997 to 2002 he lived in Berlin, working as a film set decorator and designer, exhibiting in various galleries. Having moved to Milan in 2002, he collaborated with the Lissoni Associati studio on interior and product design projects for brands such as Alessi, Cappellini and Kartell. In 2010 he founded his studio, combining scenography, interior design and craftsmanship in a vision that enhances traditional workmanship with a contemporary aesthetic.
