Santa & Cole
Santa & Cole is a small independent brand of design products, based in Belloch (Barcelona, Spain). Since 1985, the year the company was founded, they have been editing. Founded by Nina Masó, Javier Nieto Santa and Gabriel Ordeig Cole, the company initially focused on creating exceptional lamps for some of the most famous bars in Barcelona. At a time when halogen lamps were all the rage, Santa & Cole introduced the use of natural materials such as wood, sewn cardboard or ribbons, creating a human and warm atmosphere.
Anthony Dickens, born in 1975 in Dorset, founded his own design studio in London in 1998, initially producing his own creations to explore new functionality and reinterpret everyday objects. In 2006 he presented the Origami line of tables, inspired by African craftsmanship, while in 2007 he designed the Anglepoise® Fifty lamp, designed for designers and engineers, a finalist in the London Design Museum's Design of the Year Award. Fascinated by Japanese culture, in 2010 he created the Tekiò lamp, inspired by 10th century Japanese designs and now published by Santa & Cole. Modular and adaptable, it won the ADI-FAD 2018 Golden Delta for best interior lighting product. In 2015 he founded Studio Make Believe, collaborating with global brands such as Ben & Jerry's, Red Bull, Absolut, Budweiser and Joseph Joseph. He continues to work from his studio in London, spanning furniture, lighting and clocks.
