Strand & Hvass

Industrial designer Christina Strand (born 1968) and architect Niels Hvass (born 1958) founded their design studio in Copenhagen in 1998, with the aim of combining their skills to create innovative and functional solutions to universal design challenges. Their design philosophy is user-centred, deeply rooted in Scandinavian culture and based on research and an emphasis on functionality. The result is a collection of simple and intuitive, expressing a profound knowledge of the potential of materials. Strand + Hvass focus on simplicity, high quality and the combination of uniqueness and industrial production, to bring tomorrow's modern classics to life.
