The Twig Comfort chair, designed by Nendo for Alias, is a seat that combines different materials and production techniques. It features an aluminum frame with slanted legs, which connect organically to the armrests. The generous backrest and cantilevered armrests give it a contemporary and refined look. The seat is available in plastic material painted to match the base or padded and upholstered in leather or fabric. This chair integrates harmoniously into various environments, offering distinctive comfort and style.
Alias
Alias was founded in 1979 by Enrico Baleri and Marilisa Decimo together with Carlo and Francesco Forcolini. From the beginning, the founders focused on exploration in design and experimentation with new materials, a value immediately recognized and appreciated by design enthusiasts throughout Europe. The first projects were Broomstick, the series designed by Vico Magistretti, and the Spaghetti Chair by Giandomenico Belotti. Alias is a creative force, an experimental laboratory and a workshop for young designers such as Mario Botta, Paolo Rizzatto and Alberto Meda, free to express their vision.
Nendo, pseudonym of Oki Sato, was born in Toronto in 1977. He graduated in Tokyo at Waseda University in 2002, where he subsequently founded the Nendo studio, "creta" in Japanese: his projects, from architecture to design, are in fact characterized by their plastic and sculptural vocation. The studio, which today has a team of forty designers and architects, has offices in Milan (since 2005) and Singapore (since 2012). She collaborates with many design brands, including Glas Italia, Fritz Hansen, Kartel and valerie_objects. His works are exhibited at the MoMa in New York, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and at the Center Pompidou in Paris.
