The Riva collection by Kettal, designed by Jasper Morrison, elegantly reinterprets the charm of outdoor seating. The teak structure, sculpted with essential lines, evokes a timeless harmony, while the slatted workmanship of the seat and backrest gives lightness and comfort.
Kettal
Since its beginnings in 1966, Kettal has demonstrated an international vocation, focusing on design and innovation. In the early 2000s, it acquired the Hugonet and Triconfort brands, and currently collaborates with leading international designers, including Patricia Urquiola, Rodolfo Dordoni and Hella Jongerius. Kettal's aim is to create functional and expressive furniture that represents a contemporary culture and responds to current living needs. True to its philosophy of respect for the environment, it uses non-contaminating paints and the woods used are protected by the Perhutani certificate.
Jasper Morrison is an English industrial designer, born in London in 1959. He graduated from Kingston Polytechnic Design School and continued his studies at the Royal Collage of Art and the Hochschule der Künst in Berlin. In 1986 he opened his studio in London, where he designed design objects that fit perfectly into everyday environments. Together with his colleague Naoto Fukasawa he coined the term "super-normal", the name of the exhibition he set up in Japan in 2006, to indicate what good design should be: sober, useful and responsible.
