The Compas Direction table by Vitra, designed by Jean Prouvé, is an example of functional elegance and industrial design. Featuring a solid ash base with slender legs and a plywood top, the table has a simple yet refined geometric shape. The base features a tilt mechanism that allows the angle of the table top to be adjusted, making it versatile and practical.

Jean Prouvè
Jean Prouvé was a French architect and designer, born in Paris in 1901. He began his training as a self-taught architect, later working in the workshop of a blacksmith and finally opening his own workshop and design atelier in 1924. He was one of the first to devote himself to metal prefabrication, becoming a consultant and collaborator of several architects and designers such as Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. Jean Prouvé has left an important mark on the history of architecture and design: his projects combine material and structural functionality with aesthetic beauty.
