In 1939, Jean Prouvé designed the Fauteil de Salon, an armchair that perfectly embodies his aesthetic vision. With a balanced design, this seat adapts easily to different contexts. The thick padding, supported by the sturdy back legs, is enhanced by the solid wood armrests, which add comfort and welcome. In 2022, Vitra updates the color range, introducing new shades inspired by Prouvé originals, such as Gris Vermeer, Bleu Dynastie, Blé Vert and Bleu Marcoule, further expanding the customization options.

Jean Prouvè
Jean Prouvé was a French architect and designer, born in Paris in 1901. He began his training as a self-taught architect, later working in the workshop of a blacksmith and finally opening his own workshop and design atelier in 1924. He was one of the first to devote himself to metal prefabrication, becoming a consultant and collaborator of several architects and designers such as Le Corbusier and Charlotte Perriand. Jean Prouvé has left an important mark on the history of architecture and design: his projects combine material and structural functionality with aesthetic beauty.
