The Dip and Double Dip complements, designed by Chris Howker for B&B Italia in 2004, are stainless steel benches with a strong sculptural presence. Available in a single size and two different shapes, they combine soft surfaces and concave curves with more square elements, creating a dynamic visual contrast. Their essential design and sandblasted finish give a refined minimalist aesthetic, while maintaining a sense of solidity and grandeur.
B&B Italia
Founded in 1966, B&B Italia is an Italian company that is a leader in the international design furniture sector, both domestic and collective. Its headquarters are located north of Milan and boasts a prestigious building designed in 1972 by Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. Its furniture, sofas, armchairs and even outdoor products have contributed to writing the history of Italian design, spreading the “Made in Italy” on international markets. It is precisely from the alchemy between creativity, innovation and industrial capacity that modern furnishing elements emerge, highly distinctive and characterised by great quality and “timeless” elegance.
Chris Howker was born in 1964 in the United Kingdom. He graduated in art and design from East Surrey College and specialized with a master's degree from the Royal College of Art. Starting in 1998 he worked first at the David Chipperfield architecture studio and later at the United Design studio in London, where he designed interiors for prestigious hotels located all over the world, as well as developing projects as an industrial designer in the field of bathroom furniture, upholstered furniture and furnishing accessories. To date he collaborates with important design companies to create furnishing elements and interior projects.
