The Plana coffee table, designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1969 for the Japanese Embassy in Paris, is a piece that combines technological complexity and formal simplicity. Made of solid wood, it has a thick top with concave edges, inspired by a boulder smoothed by marine erosion, giving the table a strong aesthetic and a feeling of lightness.
