Plasterworks, a collection of rugs inspired by the triangle of patterns that decorate the Kaléo restaurant in Beirut designed by david/nicolas. The motif is spun out into multiple variations that feature soft lines, inventive color combinations and contrasting textures. Each hand sketched design is translated into an ultra-fine hand-knotted rug in Himalayan wool and silk.
cc-tapis
cc-tapis is a company founded by Nelcya and Fabrizio Cantoni in France which has been producing carpets for 16 years, all completely hand-knotted by expert Tibetan artisans in Nepal. Raw materials, patterns and innovative weaving techniques are key parts of the success of this product. A strong respect for the materials and culture of this ancient craft is reflected in the company's ecological approach to every step of production, ranging from hand-spinning the softest Himalayan wool to using purified rainwater for washing. In 2011 the company was moved to Milan where a team of designers blend an innovative design approach with traditional production methods.
David/Nicolas
David/Nicolas is a Beirut-born design duo founded by David Raffoul and Nicolas Moussallem in 2011. Their work is defined by a refined balance between creativity and logic, tradition and innovation, future and past. After studying architecture in Lebanon and completing master’s degrees in Milan, they established a second studio there in 2021. Their approach transcends styles and eras, blending cultural references, craftsmanship, and experimentation across interiors, furniture, and product design. Each project emerges from dialogue — with the place, its history, and the client — resulting in timeless, emotionally resonant spaces. Collaborating closely with artisans, they push the limits of contemporary craft, as seen in their Supernova collection for Carpenter’s Workshop Gallery. Recognized globally, they have received numerous accolades, including features in Architectural Digest’s AD100 and Wallpaper awards.
