Gubi's CDC collection, designed by Carlo De Carli, embodies the timeless elegance of 1950s Italian design. The CDC.1 Lounge Chair and CDC.2 Sofa feature clean, refined lines, with enveloping seats that offer comfort and style. The sinuous shapes and refined details make these pieces icons of sophisticated modernity, perfect for enriching contemporary environments with a touch of classicism.
Gubi
Since its foundation in 1967, GUBI has been designing and developing products with iconic and timeless designs, often re-editing past masterpieces that have often been forgotten. Over the years, the two founders, architects Gubi and Lisbeth Olsen, have created a large collection of furniture, putting into production pieces of design history from the 1930s to the present. The aim is to produce and carry forward timeless design, thanks to guidelines such as innovation, functionality and quality.
Carlo De Carli, born in Milan in 1910, was an Italian architect, designer and academic considered one of the protagonists of modern architecture and industrial design. Graduated in architecture, he worked in Gio Ponti's studio. He created most of his architectural, exhibition and design works from the post-war period to the early seventies. His work as a creator places the person at the center of the project, privileging the process of forming spaces rather than their being. He won several awards such as the Compasso d'Oro in 1954.
