Plinto is an iconic table with a sculptural design, created by Andrea Parisio for Meridiani. The name, derived from the Latin term "plinthus", refers to the architectural element that supports the columns. Its composition, which includes a monolithic base, a light structure and a top, is available in different shapes and materials, offering extensive customization possibilities. A design that combines classic and contemporary elegance, with balanced and refined lines.
Meridiani
The first Meridiani collection, born in 1996 from the collaboration of Laura Ferrario Crosti and Andrea Parisio, designer and artistic director of the brand, brought to the stage a classic taste revisited in a contemporary key. From the living area to the sleeping area, the Meridiani collections are distinguished by the marked use of precious fabrics such as linen, cotton and chenille, which make each piece of furniture elegant and unique. Valeria, the daughter of Laura and Renato Crosti, continues the work started by the family and continues to enhance the importance of industrial production combined with craftsmanship.
Andrea Parisio
Andrea Parisio was born in Lodi in 1964 and after attending the European Institute of Design in Milan, he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Pavia. He gained experience working as a consultant in various showrooms and as an interior designer for private individuals. Under his direction and stylistic supervision, the Meridiani brand was launched in 2000. Among the products designed by Parisio for Meridiani, Plinto, the family of dining tables with sculptural shapes, and Norton, a series of refined sofas, stand out above all. In 2015, together with Giuseppe Pezzano, he became artistic director of Ceramica: a collaboration that led him to win several editions of the Archiproducts Design Award.
