Porro
Porro nasce nel 1925 a Montesolaro di Carimate grazie ai fratelli Giulio e Stefano Porro. Negli anni ’50, con la seconda generazione – Carlo, Arturo e Silvio Porro – abbraccia il Modernismo, collaborando con l’architetto Giulio Moscatelli.Nel 1966, Bruno Munari crea il logo aziendale, mentre negli anni ’80, con l’ingresso della terza generazione – Lorenzo, Fabio, Giovanni e Danilo Porro – il design diventa centrale. Inizia così la collaborazione con Piero Lissoni, art director dal 1989 e autore di icone come il tavolo Ferro (1994).L’azienda cresce a livello internazionale con designer come Wolfgang Tolk, Werner Aisslinger, Christophe Pillet, Jean Marie Massaud, Front, Alessandro Mendini, GamFratesi, Gabriele e Oscar Buratti, Nao Tamura. Nel 2014 entra Maria Porro, oggi responsabile marketing e comunicazione.
Gamfratesi
GamFratesi is a design studio founded in 2006 in Copenhagen by Stine Gam, a Danish architect with a master's degree in furniture design, and Enrico Fratesi, an Italian architect with a master's degree in industrial design. Their work combines tradition and innovation, fusing Danish artisanal heritage with the Italian conceptual approach. They have collaborated with numerous international brands, including Gubi. In 2020, they were awarded the Elle Decoration International Design Award for Designer of the Year.
