An invisible bridge between the island and the rest of the world
Based in Sardinia, Pretziada hosts creative residencies where designers immerse themselves in the culture and history of the region before developing a new object, which is then crafted by local artisans. Through a truly collaborative effort, these pieces become representative of a culture, both tangible and intangible.

The exhibition, designed by Cameranesi Pompili, includes pieces from past collaborations and introduces new pieces produced over the past 18 months. These new collaborations, born during a time of unprecedented reflection and isolation, are particularly representative of Pretziada's endeavor to create connections and community through interdisciplinary and design work.

Origins hide evolution
New additions to the collection include the Anca Sideboard by Chiara Andreatti + Pierpaolo Mandis and the Mannu Side Table by Ambroise Maggiar + CP Basalti & Karmine Piras, both inspired by the historic Sardinian chest; and the Accanta Companion Table collection, created entirely from compressed and natural Sardinian cork, by Maddalena Casadei + Falegnameria Pisu.

Claudio Spotti says, "Influence in the world of design is an essential process for telling our story, our culture, our origins, our evolution. This is why we fell in love with Pretziada, a fascinating project that draws you into its tale of traditions and leads you into a vibrant and exciting design world."

The question: WHY NOW?
Because the time has come to take stock of the various aspects of contemporary design.
Not everything is collectible, and industrial design isn't the only thing anymore.
