The Lira chair, designed by Daniel Rybakken for Alias, combines natural materials and contemporary design. Made of solid ash with a curved seat and backrest, it has front legs in painted steel. Its ergonomic and versatile shape makes it suitable for various environments, available in a natural finish or colored stains.
Alias
Alias was founded in 1979 by Enrico Baleri and Marilisa Decimo together with Carlo and Francesco Forcolini. From the beginning, the founders focused on exploration in design and experimentation with new materials, a value immediately recognized and appreciated by design enthusiasts throughout Europe. The first projects were Broomstick, the series designed by Vico Magistretti, and the Spaghetti Chair by Giandomenico Belotti. Alias is a creative force, an experimental laboratory and a workshop for young designers such as Mario Botta, Paolo Rizzatto and Alberto Meda, free to express their vision.
Daniel Rybakken (born 1984) is a talented Norwegian designer based in Sweden, who dedicated the early years of his career to lighting design. By studying and replicating natural light, Rybakken creates poetic products and installations, in which the delicacy of the result contrasts with the rigorous technological and engineering approach to their creation.
