The concept behind our latest creation, the "Archipen" chair, celebrates movement and dynamism through its distinctive design. With its minimalist aesthetic, characterised by clean lines and flat legs twisted in various directions, the chair references the first kinetic work of the world-famous Ukrainian avant-garde sculptor and artist Olexander Archipenko, “Archipentura”.
NOOM
NOOM is a young Ukrainian company based in Kyiv, founded in 2017 by industrial designer Kateryna Sokolova and designer and entrepreneur Arkadii Vartanov. The goal of the brand, which specializes in the production of lighting, furniture and accessories, is to produce objects that are strikingly designed but at the same time functional and durable. Each product is made by combining traditional and modern techniques in a balance of design, art and craftsmanship.
Kateryna Sokolova
Kateryna Sokolova, born in 1984, is a Ukrainian designer, co-founder and creative director of the NOOM brand and founder of her own studio, SOKOLOVA. A graduate of the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, she designs furniture, lighting, hardware and electronics. She has won several awards, including the 2015 Red Dot Design Award, and collaborates with several international companies.
