The Djuna coffee table, designed by Japanese architect Kazuhide Takahama, is a tribute to the writer Djuna Barnes, a leading figure in the Parisian bohemian scene between the 1920s and 1940s. Featuring an elegant and sober design, it has a curved chromed tubular steel structure that supports an oval top available in various finishes, including glossy or matt lacquer and marble.
Cassina
Cassina was founded in 1927 in Meda (Milan) by Cesare and Umberto Cassina, inaugurating industrial design in Italy in the 1950s. The brand's identity is found in an original union where technological aptitude is closely linked to traditional craftsmanship. Cassina maintains its ancient heart, the carpentry, the linchpin of all its workmanship. It is characterised by a transversal culture of absolute quality, which makes each Cassina piece unique.
Kazuhide Takahama
He completed his architectural studies in Tokyo and began working in Kazuo Fuioka's studio. He came to Italy in 1957 on the occasion of the Milan Triennale and here he met Dino Gavina with whom he collaborated for a long time. In contact with the most active Italian designers, in this lively climate of cultural exchanges, he began to develop his own stylistic lexicon which would become increasingly more defined.
