The TL3 table, designed by Franco Albini in 1953, is a design icon characterized by visual lightness and an innovative structure. The solid wood legs with horizontal crosspieces create a suspended effect of the top, available in glass or wood. The visible screws emphasize the concept of disassembly. Reissued by Cassina in collaboration with the Albini Foundation, it is available in different finishes and sizes, both rectangular and round.
Cassina
Cassina was founded in 1927 in Meda (Milan) by Cesare and Umberto Cassina, inaugurating industrial design in Italy in the 1950s. The brand's identity is found in an original union where technological aptitude is closely linked to traditional craftsmanship. Cassina maintains its ancient heart, the carpentry, the linchpin of all its workmanship. It is characterised by a transversal culture of absolute quality, which makes each Cassina piece unique.
Franco Albini
Franco Albini was an Italian architect, urban planner and designer, a member of the Italian rationalism movement. Born in Robbiate in 1905, in 1931 he opened his first professional associated studio in Milan where, in the early years, he mainly created furniture projects, before dedicating himself to public housing. During the course of his career he received numerous awards and recognitions including the Olivetti Award for Architecture, three Compasso d'Oro and the Royal Designer for Industry award from the Royal Society of London in 1971.
